ADVERTISING WEEK EXPERIENCE LOGO

Advertising Week asked us to brand AWE (Advertising Week Experience), a new hyper-innovative series of events which take place during the annual premier event for marketing, brand, advertising, and technology professionals. We designed a powerful logo which communicated AWE’s core message and was used for years to come.

“If trade shows are like drinking from a fire hose, AWE is like drinking from a champagne glass.” The Advertising Week Experience (AWE) is a series of events that brings emerging companies and marketers together to expose a very select group of the latest technologies and the solutions they provide. It connects the brightest minds in technology with marketers, giving them direct access to the most cutting edge ways to keep their companies and brands relevant. In their words, it is a “get-your-hands-dirty and open-your-mind-to-the-possibilities of the marketing technology that’s changing the landscape” event. We created a logo that embodies all of this – and nods to the Advertising Week brand as well. The current Advertising Week logo’s “face” has been zoomed in on, showing a technical rendering of its inner workings. An arch connects the eye to the ethereal beyond, symbolizing the future facing vision AWE delivers to marketers. This lockup resides in a circular seal, similar to the Advertising Week logo at the time, but with a convex bubble treatment over it making it feel more now and relevant.

The AWE logo was used throughout Advertising Week on booths, banners, digital and print advertising, on their website and more. Here is a print ad created by their internal agency.

MY ROLE

I designed the AWE logo, working with the client to help articulate their vision, and prepared related assets for the client’s internal creative agency.

RESULTS:

A HAPPY CLIENT AND WELL RECEIVED LOGO, WHICH HELPED ADVERTISING WEEK GAIN LOTS OF POSITIVE PRESS AND A LARGE ATTENDANCE AT THE AWE EVENTS.
